This store is located in an outdoor mall in a Chicago suburb. The client required different shopping experiences for the traditional "Ralph Lauren" and the contemporary "Sport" merchandise categories. Two completely separate stores have been created, tied together by good circulation and shared services.

The 7,000 sq ft Polo Ralph Lauren store was given a center entry to capitalize on its prominent location within the mall. The classical facades are composed of a giant Tuscan order of plaster and limestone superimposed on brick infill. Display windows are cased with painted wooden frames, and highlighted by Polo's signature awnings. The large Men's Furnishings room is defined by a set of fluted columns, 14' coffered ceilings, a fireplace and seating area. The store's three levels are integrated by a paneled stair hall. The custom stair is realized in cherry wood, limestone, and bronze. Finishes throughout are stained cheer wood solids and veneers, raffia and fabric case linings, and reclaimed antique brass finishing.
